The People’s Voice Campaign started at the beginning of 2026 after the Southern Center for Human Rights became concerned about new rules announced and administered to govern public comment at the Atlanta City Council. The People’s Voice Act is our community-driven response. It seeks to:
Expand access to public comment
Protect free expression at Council meetings
Ensure meaningful participation in the decisions that shape our neighborhoods, families, and futures.
