Tree Tour: Discovering the Beauty of the Proctor Creek Greenway Urban Forest

  • Westside Park - Entrance 2 1660 Johnson Road Northwest Atlanta, GA, 30318 United States (map)

Explore and learn about the beautiful forest and meadow ecology that has been growing along the Proctor Creek Greenway. The Proctor Creek Greenway, opened in 2018, is a 2.44 Mile trail in the Grove Park that runs through Westside Park and connects Bankhead MARTA station to the Westside Beltline Connector. As part of the tour, we will examine the disturbances that this forest has faced, the pressures this has put on the land, and the restoration efforts in place to protect and improve the forest and this urban waterway. Discover what trees and people can do for each other when we work together by spotlighting conscientious land stewardship in the face of difficult conditions.
