A special film screening honoring the legacy of Shirley Chisholm, followed by a dynamic panel discussion about Chisholm, how to run for office, and the urgency of mobilizing voters in this year's critical midterm election.
The panel discussion will include Lisa Rayam, host of "Political Breakfast" and "Morning Edition" with WABE 90.1 FM , Mayor Jayden Williams of Stockbridge, GA, and Dr. Crystal R. Sanders, Professor of African American Studies at Emory University -- an award-winning historian of the United States in the twentieth century. Her research and teaching interests include African American History, Black Women's History, Civil Rights History, and the History of Black Education.
