Why NPU-T Matters to You
Great communities don’t just happen. They’re built and sustained by civic-minded neighbors who speak up and advocate for their neighborhoods. The NPU is one of the best tools we have for staying informed and effectively engaging our local leaders to hold them accountable for addressing our needs.

Atlanta is divided into 25 Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs) - citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the city on zoning, land use, and other planning-related matters. The NPU system is the official avenue for citizens to receive updates concerning all functions of city government.

Who Represents NPU-T?
Residents and representatives of organizations operating within NPU-T may all participate in the NPU’s functions. The NPU is led by its Executive Board, which is comprised of elected officers as well as various committee chairs, plus the leadership of its neighborhoods and business associations.
